Bestie Twin Nails & Bornpretty Review

Hello!

Today I'm reviewing some nail protectors/stickers from bornprettystore.com item #27347. These are perfect for when you are out of liquid latex and want to save time on clean up on gradients, watermarbles, or stamping. Let's take a look at them.

Item #27347 from bornprettystore.com

This is how the nail protectors come. There are 10 in a package. They are very easy to peel off. They are available in 5 different colors but I really don't think the color matters.

I ended up using all 10 for a gradient I had planned on doing. These protectors were perfect. Just the right amount of stickiness to them. I actually placed them on before applying my white base. I didn't want to smudge it. I used OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI, two thin coats no top coat.

For this gradient I used Fresh Paint Honeydew, Sinful Colors Tempest, and Zoya Kitridge.

As you can see they did a good job at protecting my fingers from the mess. I had very little clean up to do.

Here is the final result. I topped my gradient off with Zoya Leia, Sinful Colors Pink Ansen, Seche Vite, and Zoya Matte Velvet top coat. These were actually a part of some BTN I did with @thatrighthandtho from Instagram. I really love how they came out and I'm happy I did both hands, all 10 fingers!!

And here is our collage along with the inspo picture I found on Pinterest. Make sure to check out @thatrighthandtho's page and give her a follow. She's got some gorgeous manis!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post. Let me know what you think of these nail protector stickers and our BTN too of course. You can get your own at bornprettystore.com You can use my code SMPX31 for 10% off regular priced items. They offer worldwide free shipping!

Starrily Neutrino Swatch & Nail Art

Today I have a swatch and review of Starrily Neutrino from Live Love Polish. Starrily nail lacquer is a 5 free, cruelty free, handmade brand. Neutrino is stunning so let's get to it.

Look at the cute box! It's a unicorn! I'm definitely keeping this box.

Macro bottle shot
I was messing around taking macro shots and I loved how this photo turned out.

starilly-neutrino-live-love-polish

Starrily Neutrino is a black jelly like polish packed with holographic glitter. My swatch is two easy coats plus seche vite top coat. For me formula is a bit thick but not difficult to apply. Dries fairly quick so there's not much waiting in between coats. It's super sparkly under direct light.

BP-L004

I added some stamping over Neutrino but I didn't want to cover it all up. I used stamping plate BP-L004 from bornprettystore.com with stamping polish from M Polish, Guilded.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and loved this polish.

Powder Perfect To The Moon and Back Swatch & Review

Hey lovelies!

Today I have a swatch and review of Powder Perfect To The Moon and Back, my first Powder Perfect! This is a Live Love Polish Exclusive Limited Edition. I'll be showing you some stamping over it using a stamping plate from Bornprettystore as well. So let's get right to it!

Powder Perfect To The Moon and Back under indirect light
To The Moon and Back is nude holographic polish with tiny silver flakes. My swatch shows two coats plus Seche Vite fast drying top coat.

Macro under indirect light

I took some photos under direct daylight bulbs to try to show you the holo. It's so pretty that I think my photos don't do this polish justice!

BP-X08 bornprettystore.com
I used the butterfly image from stamping plate BP-X08 from bornprettystore.com to stamp over this pretty nude polish. I used Salon Perfect Oil Slick (black polish) and a clear stamper as well.

Butterfly stamping over To The Moon and Back

I loved this polish. Indoors it looks like a normal nude polish but in the sun you can see the gorgeous holo and silver flakes! Formula was great. Self levels very well after the second coat, dries fairly quickly and it smoothes out with top coat. I'll sure be getting some more Powder Perfect polish in the future!

Powder Perfect polish is handmade in Australia and cruelty free.
This polish is available now at livelovepolish.com. If you're new to livelovepolish sign up with an email and get 10% off your first order. They offer free US shipping on orders over $39.

Purple gradient nails

Hey beauties!

So I thought I was out of my funk but nope. I can't seem to get inspired to do nail art. I gave it a try today and I think it came out ok.

I did some stamping over a purple gradient. It looks blue for some reason though.

Picture polish M Polish OSTP!

Macro

I started with two coats of OPI You're Such A Budapest

OPI You're Such a Budapest two coats no topcoat

And since I'm out of liquid latex I put tape around my nails and sponged on OPI Do You Have This Color in Stock-holm? along with You're Such A Budapest.

Pictured polish Do You Have This Color in Stock-Holm?

Remember those days using tape? Lol

Gradient top coated with Seche Vite

For the stamping I used a FB group custom from M Polish called Oh Shit That's Pretty! And a plate gifted to me in a secret Santa swap.

Charm item #21397 from bornprettystore.com

For another look I applied this charm provided for review from bornprettystore item #21397 in option #8 with some flat back opal pearls around it. I thought it was going to be a bit smaller or maybe my nails are too short for it. So for now it feels too big for my taste.

Arabesque Water Decals Review

Happy Monday!

I received these arabesque water decals from Bornpretty to review a couple weeks ago. I had a plan for these but I haven't gotten to it yet.

When I was swatching the Zoya Whispers collection I decided to use the water decals on the last polish I swatched which was Lake.

Zoya Lake

I did two coats of Zoya Lake plus top coat. I usually don't top coat before applying decals.

I cut up the pieces I wanted to use and submerged them in water for a couple seconds one at a time. Applied it on the nail and dabbed the excess water off with a paper towel. I cleaned up the remaining part of the decal with a brush dipped in acetone and applied top coat to seal it in.

bornprettystore.com item #22958

I really loved these water decals. My excecution not so much. I'll be using these again soon so you'll see them again.

What do you think of these arabesque water decals?

Thank you for stopping by. Happy polishing! :)

Mani swap with @wifatalons

Hello my friends!

It's mani swap time! I had the chance to do a mani swap with the talented @wifatalons from Instagram. I love her manis and I love her! I had a hard time choosing especially since I had to do the mani on my cindy hand. A corner of my index nail broke on my left hand and looks awkward now. Anyway I don't think it turned out too bad.

Take a look at the collage.

Originals on the left
Recreations on the right

I love the mani she picked and how the collage turned out.

Image BPL-022

My son loves cars so I've been wanting to use that stamp for a while. I'm sure I'll use it again soon. He loved seeing cars on my nails! My stamping didn't turn out as opaque as I hoped but I still liked this.

Items used:
Sinful Colors- No Text Red
Shinespark Polish- Gilded Rose
Salon Perfect- Oil Slick
Seche Vite Fast Dry top coat

I did two coats of No Text Red followed by one coat of Gilded Rose. I waited a bit for my base to be dry and then stamped the image one nail at a time cleaning the stamping plate after each stamp. Top coated and cleaned up around my cuticules with a brush dipped in acetone. I finished up by applying my favorite cuticule oil from Morning.star.nails

And that's it. I hope you guys liked this month's mani swap. Thank you for reading! Happy polishing ;)

Holiday Bling Nails!

Hi my loves!

Can you guys believe its December already? My birthday month!

Christmas is getting closer so I have these holiday blingy nails to show you guys. I was sent these shiny rhinestones from Bornprettystore to review (item #21586) and I actually couldn't think of how to use them at first but I loved the end result! Keep reading after the break to see what I did with them.

Item #21586

These rhinestones are really pretty. They're very shiny and sort of multi-colored and they come in different sizes, which I really like!

I used two coats of Zoya Amal from the Matte Velvet Holiday 2015 collection without top coat as my base. Then I looked for the two smallest sizes for three of my nails. I added a bit of matte top coat near my cuticle where the rhinestones were going to go. I added three to each nail except the ring finger. I had no idea what I was going to do with that one!

I added some matte top coat and just started adding the rhinestones. I was going for a necklace type look I guess.

Zoya Amal

Here is the finished look. I loved it! I didn't add any top coat over the rhinestones. If I wanted to wear this for more than a day I would've just added more top coat when placing them. That works very well for me  and I'm very rough with my hands. I think these will be my Christmas nails!

Bornprettystore item #21586

No macro but here's a closer look at my ring finger. I was very pleased with it.
