M Polish To Have and To Holo/ Frost comparison

Hi lovelies!

Today I have a comparison post of M Polish stamping polishes, To Have and to Holo and Frost.

To Have and To Holo was the first holographic stamping polish released to the public by M Polish. Frost is from the Winter 2015 Collection, see my review here. You might be debating whether you need both or not. In my opinion you need both because they're not the same.

To Have and to Holo is a linear holographic stamping polish while Frost is a holographic polish with scattered platinum microflakes throughout. It can also be worn as regular polish.

My swatch below shows To Have and to Holo stamped on index and middle nails. Frost is stamped on ring and pinky nails. Both are stamped over one coat of Salon Perfect Oil Slick (black). Excuse the awkward hand pose!

Index & middle: THATH  Ring & pinky: Frost

You can really see the difference between the two. I think they're different enough to have both. They're both gorgeous! To Have and to Holo I purchased myself as soon as it was released because holo! What do you think of these?

M Polish will be restocking THATH and other collections for cyber monday so don't miss out! The Spring Collection will be retiring so get those before they're gone! You can see my swatches of the Spring Collection here. Warning I was still a newb at blogging and swatching back then! lol

Thank you for reading! Happy stamping :)

Orly Infamous Holiday 2015 Collection swatch & review

Hi everyone!

Hope you are all having a great Thanskgiving weekend! Today I have for you the Infamous Holiday 2015 Collection from Orly. I bought this collection from hbbeautybar.com a couple weeks ago and totally forgot about it, so it was a surprise for me when I received it in the mail! I love surprise nail mail!

This collection has a little bit of everything for everyone. So let's get started!

Orly Infamous Holiday 2015 Collection

Makeup to Breakup is described as a deep teal creme. Swatch shows two coat no topcoat. Formula is smooth and could be a one coater if you apply a semi thick coat. I did two coats because I didn't want to flood my cuticles. There is a bit of staining with this one. It was hard to get a color accurate photo, its a bit less blue in real life.

Scandal is described as a deep crimson red. Swatch shows two coats no top coat. This could also be a one coater in a semi thick coat. Warning use a good base coat if you don't want red tinted nails. I don't use base coat and this one left my nails stained red!

Front Page is described as an ivory frost shimmer. Swatch shows three thin coats on middle and pinky and one coat brushed on followed by one coat sponged on index and ring finger. I got the tip of sponging on frosty polishes from jeninthemorning. I really like this better sponged on than brushed one.

Frenemy is decribed as a black holographic jelly glitter. This polish also has some shred glitter through out. Swatch shows three thin coats plus top coat.

Gossip Girl is described as a gold glitter with red holo micro glitter. This polish is packed with glitter that it can be opaque on its own. Could also be used as a topper in one super thin coat. Swatch shows two coats plus top coat over a bare nail.

I love the cremes in this collection and Frenemy and Gossip Girl are my absolute favorite. I recommend waiting in between each coat before applying the next to prevent pulling. A good base coat is also a must.

What do you think of this collection? Which one do you like best?

Bestie Twin Nails with @color.obsessed

Hello my friends!

It's BTN time again! This time I did BTN with @color.obsessed from Instagram. We decided on a design from a gorgeous dress I found on Pinterest.

Here is the collage.
Top myself
Bottom @color_obssesed

I love her version. It's so pretty! Don't you think?

My solo:
opi-mpolish
Polish Pictured OPI Yoga-ta Get This Blue

I did a blue gradient followed by a glitter gradient and then a coat of fairy dust from China Glaze. Final step was stamping. I stamped an image from Pet'la Plate Flake No More with M Polish Bronze. I also used the clear jelly stamper to help me with my placement. If anyone wants a review for that stamper leave a comment below.

M Polish Bronze

seche-vite
Gradient before the stamping

I used OPI Yoga-ta Get This Blue, No Room for the Blues and Rimmel London Blue Eyed Girl for the gradient. I sponged on Revlon Holographic Pearls on the tips and then applied a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust. Topped it off with one coat of Seche Vite top coat.

Matte version

I wanted to see how it looked matte so I applied one coat of Zoya Matte Velvet. I loved it so much more! I didn't want to take it off ever!

Macro matte version

That's it folks. If you have any questions leave them below. I hope you guys enjoyed these BTN.

This collection is perfect for stamping or for wearing as traditional polish. Formula is thick but not difficult to work with. It's opaque in one easy coat or two coats if you prefer thinner coats. It dries to a dull finish but comes to life with top coat so don't skip it! This M Polish collection certainly didn't disappoint! I love them and can't pick a favorite. Which is your favorite?

Collection is available now in full size and mini. There will be a restock soon and there will be a cyber monday sale of 25% off so get ready!
