Sparitual Nurture Spring Collection Swatch & Review (partial)

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the unexpected break. Both of my kids got sick before the weekend, one with double ear infection and the other with the stomach flu. Thankfully they're a bit better now.

I was sent three polishes from Sparitual's Nurture Spring Collection 2016 for review. The collection consists of six shades. I will be showing you Supportive (shimmer), Loving (creme) and Tender (creme). So let's get to it.

Supportive, Loving, Tender

The package came beautifully wrapped and with a small pouch with a pretty floral print on it.

Supportive no top coat

Supportive is a gorgeous shimmery purple and a one coater (two if you do thin coats) with great smooth formula. My swatch shows one coat no top coat to show that it has a matte type finish. I love it.

Macro 'Supportive' no top coat

Macro with top coat
I prefer "Supportive" without a top coat. What do you think?

loving-nurture-collection
Loving

Loving is a gorgeous bright pink. My swatch shows three coats plus top coat. I loved this shade of pink but the formula was not so great. First coat was thin and runny, second coat was still patchy and it sort of self leveled by the third coat. I would still totally wear it though!

tender-nurture-collection
Tender

Tender is a beautiful teal shade. My swatch shows two coats plus top coat. Formula was pretty good. It could be a one coater if you do one thick coat with careful application. There is no staining with this as there is with other teals/blues.

Overall I enjoyed these shades. I only own one Sparitual and I really like it. Formulas from this collection seem to be a hit or miss. These do dry pretty quick though.

What do you think of this brand? Will you be getting any of these or from the rest of the collection? Let me know below. These should be available at Sally's, or Ulta.

Thank you for reading. Happy Tuesday!

Stained Glass BTN With Pish

I got the opportunity to do Twin Nails with my dearest friend Karen from pish.posh.polish. If you aren't following her yet you definitely should!

We were inspired by a pastel stained glass phone case I found.

Take a look at our collage. I love how they both turned out. They look so awesome together!

Here is my solo. We decided to make them matte and I love it!

In between shot before cleanup

I started off with a white base and then on a latex free make up wedge I added little drops of different polishes and dapped it on my nail. I had to reapply polish on the wedge after every two nails. I did about two or three passes on each nail to make it opaque. Then I top coated and with my detail brush and black acrylic paint I started drawing in some lines. I sort of outlined where each color was.

After I was done drawing the lines I waited for them to be fully dry and top coated with Zoya Matte Velvet top coat.

I really liked them that I did the other hand as well.

Hope you guys enjoyed these as much as I did! Thank you for reading :)

Red Flower Nails

Hey happy Tuesday everyone!

On my last post I said I was going to do a round up of all the Valentine's looks I did but you know what? I'm over Valentine's! Aren't you? I'm ready for spring!

Today's #twinsietuesdaynailart hosted by @99probsbutmynailsaint1 is red so I did some red flower nails instead of using a red base.

Zoya Eastyn two coats + top coat
I used two coats of Zoya Eastyn. You can find my review of the Whispers Collection here.

Zoya Eastyn

With red polish and my small detail brush I drew some flowers near the top. I added some black centers and then did some white and red dots. They're not perfect at all but I still love the look! I did one coat of Seche Vite top coat and one coat of Matte Velvet top coat to make it easier to photogragh.

What do you think of this look? Hope you enjoyed this post.

Thank you for reading. Happy polishing!

14 days of Valentine's + Collab

Hey Valentine's Day is finally here!

I have the final look for 14 days of Valentine's and I combined it with a collab I did hosted by 25_sweetpeas of Instagram. Let's take a look.

Zoya Arianna

I was actually not happy with how this turned out but I didn't have time to redo it.

I used two coats of  Zoya Ana as a base and Arianna for the "waterfall" look. I outlined the heart with red acrylic paint. Top coated with Seche Vite and one coat of Zoya Matte Velvet top coat to finish off.

Below is the collage for the collab. I love how everyone's turned out!

Vdaycollab2016

Here's the list of the awesome ladies who participated.

I was very excited to be asked to participate in this collab. I actually also participated last year. And I'm very proud of myself for finishing the 14 days of Valentine's series. It was tough but I did it!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post. I think I will have a full round up of all the Valentine's looks I did on tomorrow's post.

Thank you for reading. Happy Valentine's Day!

Lace Nails

Day 13 of 14 days of Valentine's. This is where I run out of ideas! I tried to go for a sexy lacey look.

Let's take a look at what I came up with.

Hard Candy Lace Me Up

Salon Perfect Oil Slick, Sinful Colors Pink Forever, BPL-028,
Hard Candy Lace Me Up, Pink clear jelly stamper from bps, Seche Vite top coat

I used Sinful Colors Pink Forever as my base. On my two middle nails I stamped a chevron lace image using BPL-028 and Salon Perfect Oil Slick. I used this pink clear stamper from bps without any problems.

On my index and pinky I did one coat of Hard Candy Lace Me Up. Lace Me Up is a glitter topper with matte pink and black hex glitters in different sizes. I top coated everything with one coat of Seche Vite.

One more look. It was a bit hard to pose with this kind of bottle. I think I still need to work with placement with the clear stamper.

Let me know what you think of this look?

Thanks for reading :)

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

I have these yummy looking nails today for day 12 of 14 days of Valentine's!

Valentine's Day is two days away and one thing I would like to get that day or any other day besides nail polish would be chocolate covered strawberries!

OPI Chic From Ears To Tail

I was inspired by some dark chocolates with strawberry filling and a wallpaper I found on Pinterest. The wallpaper is white with some chocolate covered strawberries and hearts. I tried this look on a white base but it just wasn't photographing right. So I did it over pink Instead.

I used three coats of OPI Chic From Ears To Tail plus top coat. I did random strawberry shapes with red polish, added the stems with green acrylic paint and for the chocolate part I used brown polish. I added some random dots and hearts and top coated. I topped it off with Zoya Matte Velvet top coat.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Another look at these strawberry nails with my chocolates. I was eating these while I painted. And no I didn't share lol.

I hope you guys enjoy this look!

Thank you for reading! :)

Glitter Neutral Nails

How about a little break from all the reds and pinks!

For today's post of 14 days of Valentine's I have this neutral glittery look. Who doesn't like nudes for Valentine's Day?

zoya-magical-pixie-dust
Zoya Bar

I did two coats of Zoya Godiva followed by one coat of Zoya Bar. I added a little gold heart stud for the accent nail with a bit of top coat.

I wanted the texture so I didn't add top coat. If you don't like texture apply two coats of top coat to smooth down the glitter.

I loved how sparkly this looked in direct light/sun yet a bit subtle indoors.

What will you be wearing on your nails for Valentine's Day? Let me know below and don't forget to take a look at the other ladies posts on the InLinkz.

Thank you for looking. Happy polishing!

Pink-Red Gradient

Hello!

We're on day 10 of our 14 days of Valentine's series hosted by Polish Galore

For today's post I did a textured gradient. Let's take a look!

Zoya Chyna

I used Zoya Chyna pixie dust and OPI Pussy Galore liquid sand in this gradient. I applied Chyna to half of my nail and Pussy Galore on the other half then applied both to a latex free make up wedge and sponged on two coats. I didn't apply any top coat since I loved the sparkle and texture of it.

I had to clean up around my nail with a brush and acetone since I didn't apply tape and I've been out of liquid latex for a while.

OPI Pussy Galore

Here's another look at this pretty gradient. I really liked this but it was a pain to take off! I would totally do it again though!

What do you think of this look? Do you like textured polishes?

We're so close to our final post for this series!

Thank you for looking. Happy polishing! :)

Purple & Red Vday Nails

Happy Monday everyone!

Let's get right into today's design. I wanted a not so common color combo so let's take a look.

Leesha's Lacquer Witches Brew

I love how the red pops over this gorgeous purple base!

Items used MPolish INAV, clear stamper from bps, Zoya matte top coat
Leesha's Lacquer Witches Brew, Moyou London Pro 09,
Seche Vite top coat

I used two coats of Leesha's Lacquer Witches Brew from her Holloween collection. I'm not sure if it's still available but you can take a look at Witches Brew swatch here. I stamped over my two middle nails using MPolish I Need A Vacation with Moyou London Pro-XL 09.

Applied one coat of Seche Vite top coat and since I wanted a matte look I applied one coat of Zoya Matte Velvet top coat.

M Polish 'I Need A Vacation'

Here's another look at this heart stamped mani. I think I should've stamped all my nails! I might be using this color as a base for more stamping over it soon!

What do you think of this look? Hope you guys enjoyed today's post. Don't forget to check out the other bloggers looks for 14 days of Valentine's on the InLinkz below.

Thank you for stopping by. Happy polishing! ;)

Cookie Inspired Nails

Today's nail art is inspired by some heart cookies I found on Pinterest. I love looking for inspo on Pinterest!

Let's take a look!

Sinful Colors Mint Apple

I used Sinful Colors Mint Apple and Zoya Arlo. I made the small dots with a toothpick and the flowers with red, pink, and white polish. There was no special technique for the flowers. I kind of just mixed the colors and swirled them around.

I applied one coat of Seche Vite top coat to finish it off.

Pinterest

Here are the inspiration cookies. They look so pretty! And they're probably delicious too! Too bad I can't bake.

Hope you enjoyed this look!

"See you" tomorrow ;)

Day 7 of 14 days of Valentine's & Mani Swap

14 days of Valentine's Day 7! We're halfway there!

It's time for February's mani swap so I picked a design that could work for today's post.

I did a mani swap with @polished.plumage on Instagram. She's a sweet friend of mine. I was very excited to be paired up with her. Below you will see our collage.

Mani swap with @polished.plumage

Originals are on the left and recreations are on the right. I love how we both picked manis from about a year ago. She did such a great job recreating mine.

The mani I chose to recreate is one she posted for Valentine's Day last year.

Zoya Godiva

I used three coats of Zoya Erika on index, middle and ring finger. On my pinky I did two coats of Zoya Godiva no top coat. The lines I did with my small detail brush using a gold polish and I went over them with Godiva. I added red dots and hearts with Zoya Amal using a toothpick.

I applied one coat of Seche Vite top coat followed a coat of Zoya Matte Velvet top coat.

I loved this look! Looked so soft and pretty.

Let me know if you guys want to see a specific look for Valentine's or maybe an anti-Valentine's day design?

Thank you for reading. Happy polishing :)

Elephant Valentine

Wow where did the week go? Feels like it just flew by!

I have some cute nail art to show you today! My daughter and I love elephants so I did these cute nails and she loved them.

I used Fresh Paint polish. Fresh Paint is available at Five Below stores. Let me just say I had never been to Five Below before! I used to think it was a store that sold like winter gear and stuff, you know because five below zero lol. Until I noticed last year that my nail friends would say they bought polish at Five Below. It's called Five Below because everything is $5 or below! Duh! So there's my funny of the day!

I just discovered a Five Below opened like 10 minutes from me so I was very excited! I went and it's awesome! I need to go back soon.

So Let's take a look at todays nails.

elephant-nails-valentine-fresh-paint
Fresh Paint Passion Fruit

I did two coats of Fresh Paint 'Passion Fruit' and made some small hearts with glitter polish towards the top of my nails and top coated. On my ring finger I did a little dry brushing using red and pink polish.

To make the elephant I once again used my DRK Nails pink mat to make it into a decal. I applied clear polish and waited for it to dry completely. Then I made several attempts drawing elephants with black acrylic paint. When I was finally happy with one I filled it in with grey polish and a bit of pink for the ear and cheek. I added a tiny red heart above his trunk. I applied clear polish over the image and waited for it to dry.

To apply the decal I cut the sides a bit and placed it on my nail smoothing it down. I cleaned up around my nail with a brush dipped in acetone. That melted the excess decal off. I finished off with one coat of Seche Vite top coat.

I loved these so much I was so sad to take them off. If I left on every design I loved I would probably only post once a week or every two weeks!

Hope you like these. Thank you for reading!
Happy weekend!

Valentine Conversation Hearts

Do you like those Valentine conversation heart candies? I do! So for day 5 of our 14 days of Valentine's series I have conversation heart nail art for you.

I've seen various versions of these and I wanted to try something different. I don't know if it's been done before or not.

So let's take a look shall we?

valentine-conversation-heart-nails
Valentine Conversation Hearts

Color Club Magic Attraction one coat no top coat

I used one coat of Color Club Magic Attraction as my base. I waited for it to dry on its own, no topcoat added.

Below I did a collage to show the steps of how I did these.

Step by step tutorial

I made a heart outline with white acrylic paint. I filled in the heart with the white paint so the polish on top would pop a bit more.

Using four polishes from Color Club pastel neon collection (Meet Me At The Rink, Diggin' The Dancing Queen, 'Till The Record Stops, and Feathered Hair Out There) I filled in the hearts.
I had to go over them twice with polishes to make them opaque.

Using my detail brush and red acrylic paint I wrote in the words. Once the words were dry I used a generous amount of Seche Vite top coat to seal and smooth everything in.

Valentine's Day Candy Nails

Here is another look at this design. I hope you guys like this look as much as I did! Would you try it? If you do tag me on IG I would like to see.

Thank you for reading. Happy polishing! :)
