Bornprettystore Diamond Glitter review

**Press Sample**

Hey lovelies!

Today's nail art is glitter placement using loose diamond glitter from Bornprettystore.com Item #20279.

I took a macro of the glitter inside the little round case it comes in.

Item #20279

Isn't it beautiful?!

I started with a base of Color Club Halo-graphic.

This is two coats plus top coat in direct sunlight. I love it!

I really had no idea how I was going to place the glitter. I did what I always do. Just wing it lol.

Here's the final result.

I started by dumping some glitter out onto a sheet of paper (this way it's easier to dump them back in) and picking which color glitter I was going to use. I decided on two colors.

I applied some clear polish (Wet n Wild clear) over my holo base on my middle finger. With a dotting tool I started placing the pink diamonds in a line straight down my nail. When it seemed the clear polish was beginning to dry I applied a bit more. Then I did the same thing on each side of the pink glitter with the light purple glitter.

When I reached the end of my nail I cut some of the glitters with a nail clipper in half. I placed those at the top by my cuticules and to the tip of the nail. I did this same thing with my ring finger.

On my other nails I placed them in a dotticure pattern.

I really loved the end result. There's so much you can do with this type of glitter!

Aztec Print Nails

Hi my friends!

Today's nails are aztec/tribal print featuring Zoya Dream. First of all let me tell you that these were way harder than I thought. Why do I always do this to myself? lol

Ok let's start out by showing you a swatch of Zoya Dream.

Zoya Dream
This polish is gorgeous! I don't use it enough as I would like to. Dream can be best described as a deep blue polish with holographic glitter throughout. Swatch shows two coats plus top coat. I couldn't get a photo of it in the sun but trust me it's beautiful!

This is what I did over it. Made me kind of sad that most of it got covered up though.

Design was done freehand with white acrylic paint and a bit of pink acrylic paint. I didn't have a design planned out. I kind of just went a long with it. I started out with three lines across my nails and went from there. I made lots of mistakes but the good thing about acrylic paint is that you can wash it off or scrape it off and start over. Even though my lines aren't straight and not all my nails came out the same I like the outcome.

What do you guys think of this look? Like it, not for you?

That's it for today lovelies! Thanks for reading. See you soon :)

I will show you swatches first and tell you what I think at the end.

The Philadelphia Soul Collection

Teal/green jelly polish with subtle gold shimmer throughout. 3 coats plus top coat. This one would've been fine with only 2 coats.

Do you have any favorites in this collection?

Overall formulas on all were nice and dried quick.  I had issues with the jellies, the pigment seemed to be settling at the bottom, I mixed it with a toothpick and they were fine after. I let the owner know and she will be looking into that.
I love the colors in this collection. Some are unique to my collection like Avenue of the Blues, Huntingdon Valley Green and Frost & Fifth.
I had a great experience working with the owner Mya as I have had with all other indies I've worked with.

Learn more about the brand and the owner on their website in the About Us section.

Philadelphia Soul Collection is available now on Mya's website www.empressbymm.com

Each 13ml bottle retails for $7 use code PHILLY801 for $5 off $30 or more

Watermelon nails

Hello lovelies!

Who likes watermelon? I love watermelon so today I have for you some watermelon nails.

I really like how these look but they came out kind of sloppy. I thought I had time to redo them but I didn't.

Anyway here's what I used for this design.

Bliss Kiss Simply Peel latex barrier
OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls
Sinful Colors Snow Me White
Sinful Colors No Text Red
Seche Vite top coat
Two shades of green acrylic paint
Black acrylic paint
Black eyeliner liquid pencil
No 2 striper brush
Kolinsky clean up brush
Latex free make up sponge

How to:

I applied two coats of OPI MBSW on my ring and middle finger and let that dry. Two coats of SC No Text Red on my pinky and index fingers and let that dry a bit as well. Added dots with black acrylic paint with the dotting end of my clean up brush to the red nails. Ley dry and then top coated.

To the other nails I applied Simply Peel to the the top part of the nail. I left sort of an upside down "v" shape free. I wish I had taken a pictures as I went a long! Below is a picture to try to explain what I mean.

After I applied the simply peel I let it dry and did a gradient with the red and white polish. Then I dabbed some green on the bottom part. Removed the simply peel and outlined the watermelon with black acrylic paint using my black liquid liner pen dipped in black acrylic paint (don't worry I don't use this on my eyes anymore lol). Added some black dots for the "seeds" and some dark green lines on the bottom part with my striper brush.

Once everything was dry I cleaned up with my clean up brush and applied top coat to seal everything in.

I really hope this all makes sense to you guys! What do you think of this look?

Thank you for reading! See you soon!

Color Club Poptastic Pastel Neon colection

Hello my friends!

Today I have swatches from Color Club's pastel neons (yea I'm late for these lol). I got these thanks to a deal that was on the Today Show a couple weeks ago. How could I say no to this collection at $18 plus shipping?!

I'll show you swatches first and give you my overall opinion at the end.

My swatches are all three coats plus top coat and taken indoor under my lightbox and outdoor.

Overall these polishes are beautiful but the formula is not that great. The first coat is sheer and very streaky. Second coat is still not opaque enough and it's still patchy. By the third coat it's opaque and finally self levels. By doing thin coats you won't end up with a big blotchy mess. It also won't feel so thick vs if you do thick coats. Top coat smoothes everything out and makes them look super shiny.

So be patient with these. Let your coats dry before adding the next coat. For me the end result was worth it because I love the colors! This collection might not be for you if you don't like three coaters. I don't mind since I own a couple polishes that have the same type of formula. I have some nail art plans with these and I can't wait to show you guys!

So what do you guys think of this collection? Love it? Not for you? Do you already have it? Leave your comments below.
