April Polish Pick Up: Jior Couture

Hello my lovelies!

I got a chance to swatch Jior's contribution of April's PPU. How exciting! April's theme is Across the Universe-Planets & Galaxies. Jior's contribution is named 'Gamora Doesn't Dance' which was an inspiration from Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy. I took so many photos of this. It was so hard to pick just one or two photos to post!

Gamora Doesn't Dance is a gold/green/pink/purple holo multi-chrome with some multi-chrome shifting flakies. My swatches show two coats plus top coat. Taken under a daylight bulb in a light box.

Hello!

I have been wanting to try Glam Polish for a while now so I was very excited when I was contacted to be a guest blogger for the brand. Glam Polish is an Australian indie brand and they offer international shipping.

I received four polishes to review and today I will be showing you two of them. These two polishes are from the Forever After collection; Fairest of Them All and Far Far Away. Let's take a look!

Fairest of Them All is a periwinkle with scattered holo and ultra holo glitter throughout. My swatch shows two easy coats plus Seche Vite top coat.

 Far Far Away is a bright orange scattered holo with ultra holo glitter throughout. My swatch shows two easy coats plus Seche Vite top coat.

These polishes are gorgeous! They dry quick and are pretty opaque for glitter polishes. I think I'll be doing some Halloween nail art over Far Far Away! What do you think of these polishes? Did you get any polishes from the Forever After Collection?

Poetry Cowgirl Sparkle in the Sun

 Poetry Cowgirl Nail Polish Sparkle in the Sun is a metallic silver loaded with holo sparkles and glitters, and a touch of orange-green shifting iridescent glitter. Formula is very good for a glitter polish. My swatch shows two coats plus top coat. Photo taken under two direct daylight bulbs.

Leesha's Lacquer Blood Sucker

 Leesha's Lacquer Blood Sucker is a juicy blood red jelly with black and iridescent glitter. My swatch shows three thin coats plus top coat. If you do thick coats it could be opaque in two coats. Make sure you wait in between coats to prevent pulling.

Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer Fang-tastic

 Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer Fang-tastic is a rich black polish with copper glitters, red flakies, and hint of holo glitter in a jelly like base. My swatch shows three thin coats plus top coat. I love the copper and red glitters in this!

Jior Couture SWL:Sweet Collection Swatch & Review

Hello!

I have a swatch and review of Jior Couture's SWL: Sweet fall Collection which releases today September 15! This collection is split in two parts Sweet and Bitter. I have the Sweet part to show you guys.

Jior Couture Forgiveness

Forgiveness is a beautiful caramel brown with subtle scattered holo. Swatch shows two smooth coats plus top coat. Could easily be a one coater!

Jior Couture Resurrection

 Resurrection is a holo/multichrome polish. This is stunning! It's so sparkly and you can really see the shift in colors. Fully opaque in two coats.

Jior Couture Awakened

 Awakened is a multichrome plish that shifts from a brown orange to purple and you can see some hints of green too. Swatch shows two coats plus top coat.

 Redemption is teal/navy duochrome with golden shimmer. Swatch shows two coats plus top coat.

Jior Couture Reformation

Reformation is a blue jelly polish with multichrome flakies throughout. It's so squishy looking! Swatch shows three coats plus topcoat. It's a jelly polish so you will have visible nail line. You can layer it over a similar color if you prefer though.

Jior Couture Hope over Awakened

 Hope is a microglitter/multichrome topper. It's meant to be worn over darker colors. Here I tried one coat over Awakened. I love how it looks.

 Hope over Orly Plum Noir a dark berry purple. You can see the green to blue shift.

Overall I think this is a great collection. I didn't have any issues with any of the formulas and I love the colors! I bet some of these would look great matte! Which ones did you like best? My favorites from this collection would have to be Resurrection and Forgiveness. I will be using some of these in some nail art soon so be on the lookout. This was my first time working with Jior Couture and I had a great experience.

Laquered Up Light Up The Sky Collection Swatch & Review

I have some swatches from the Light Up The Sky 4th of July collection from Laquered Up releasing today at noon! These are gorgeous! Let's get right to it.

Midnight Sky

Midnight Sky macro

Midnight Sky is a dark blue jelly based polish filled with silver flakies throughout. Swatch shows two coats plus top coat. 

Fiery Cracker

Fiery Cracker macro

Fiery Cracker is bright red jelly based polish with silver flakies throughout. This is also two coats plus top coat.

Kapow!

Kapow is a glitter topper in a clear base filled with blue hex glitters in different sizes and circle glitters in a sort of coral shade. I did one coat brushed on middle and ring fingers and a glitter gradient on index and pinky.

Star Gazer

Star Gazer macro

Star Gazer is a star glitter topper in a clear base. This has small blue, red, and silver holo stars. I did some glitter placement over a smooshy white and blue base.

I loved these! For the jelly base polishes I recommend waiting in between coats to prevent pulling the previous coat. A thick coat of top coat over the star glitters is best to smooth them down.
