Bestie Twin Nails With Thedotcouture

I took a bit of a blogging break and now I'm back with these twin nails with my nail sister Thedotcouture.

I love twinning with Jenny! We noticed that we always end up doing similar manis with out meaning to so we decided to actually do twin manis.

I found the inspiration photo on Pinterest like always. Take a look at our collage.

Polish pictured Sinful Colors Nirvana

I used Sinful Colors Nivana as my base and dry brushed Zoya Ana over it. I added the black flowers with a dotting tool and top coated with Seche Vite top coat. I wanted a matte look so I used one coat of Zoya Matte Velvet top coat.

I love how these look! What do you guys think?

Stained Glass BTN With Pish

I got the opportunity to do Twin Nails with my dearest friend Karen from pish.posh.polish. If you aren't following her yet you definitely should! 

We were inspired by a pastel stained glass phone case I found. 

Take a look at our collage. I love how they both turned out. They look so awesome together!

Here is my solo. We decided to make them matte and I love it! 

In between shot before cleanup

I started off with a white base and then on a latex free make up wedge I added little drops of different polishes and dapped it on my nail. I had to reapply polish on the wedge after every two nails. I did about two or three passes on each nail to make it opaque. Then I top coated and with my detail brush and black acrylic paint I started drawing in some lines. I sort of outlined where each color was. 

After I was done drawing the lines I waited for them to be fully dry and top coated with Zoya Matte Velvet top coat.

I really liked them that I did the other hand as well.

Sweetest Bestie Twin Nails

Hey friends! 

Today I have some cute twin nails to show you! My friend @25_sweetpea from Instagram asked me to collaborate with her and of course I agreed! I love her manis and she's so sweet, just like her name says! 

We decided on doing owl nails. I've never done owls before so I was extremely nervous. We both kinda were!

Take a look to see how we did.

We decided on doing a gradient base. The top picture in the collage was our inspo. And we agreed on only doing one owl since we weren't sure if we could fit more than one on one nail. She did such a great job! I love it!

Below is my gradient with top coat before adding anything over it.

Gradient with one coat of Seche Vite

I have become a big fan of doing gradients this way. I do my gradient like usual and then I go over it doing some lines with a striper brush. I love the effect it gives it. I used Sinful Shine At Sea, Sinful Colors Hazard, and Loreal Walk on the Beach. 

This is the glossy version of my solo. I didn't like the glare. This was the only photo that the glare didn't completely cover that poor little owl.

So I decided to matte it. I love it matte! I'm a big big fan of matte nails! I drew everything with nail polish and my favorite brushes that you can find here and here. I don't have brown acrylic paint and I was too lazy to mix colors. The owl was done only using dotting tools. I did one coat of Seche Vite and then I added one coat of Salon Perfect Matte Fx top coat to finish the look.
