Orly Infamous Holiday 2015 Collection swatch & review

Hi everyone!

Hope you are all having a great Thanskgiving weekend! Today I have for you the Infamous Holiday 2015 Collection from Orly. I bought this collection from hbbeautybar.com a couple weeks ago and totally forgot about it, so it was a surprise for me when I received it in the mail! I love surprise nail mail!

This collection has a little bit of everything for everyone. So let's get started!

Makeup to Breakup is described as a deep teal creme. Swatch shows two coat no topcoat. Formula is smooth and could be a one coater if you apply a semi thick coat. I did two coats because I didn't want to flood my cuticles. There is a bit of staining with this one. It was hard to get a color accurate photo, its a bit less blue in real life.

Scandal is described as a deep crimson red. Swatch shows two coats no top coat. This could also be a one coater in a semi thick coat. Warning use a good base coat if you don't want red tinted nails. I don't use base coat and this one left my nails stained red!

Front Page is described as an ivory frost shimmer. Swatch shows three thin coats on middle and pinky and one coat brushed on followed by one coat sponged on index and ring finger. I got the tip of sponging on frosty polishes from jeninthemorning. I really like this better sponged on than brushed one.

Gossip Girl is described as a gold glitter with red holo micro glitter. This polish is packed with glitter that it can be opaque on its own. Could also be used as a topper in one super thin coat. Swatch shows two coats plus top coat over a bare nail.

I love the cremes in this collection and Frenemy and Gossip Girl are my absolute favorite. I recommend waiting in between each coat before applying the next to prevent pulling. A good base coat is also a must.

  1. I love Gossip Girl on its own! I recently swatched this collection and layered Gossip Girl over Front Page, a result I was less than thrilled with.

    1. I love it too! I layered it that way as well but I deleted the photo by accident. I didn't re swatch it since I didn't really like it that way either.

  2. 15 minutes is stunning, however I was disappointed with the formula and it chipped on me in less than 12 hours and one little chip turned into the entire polish peeling off on my nails and I didn't even use a peel off base coat. Super weird

    1. I was kind of meh about that one. That's weird that it just peeled off on its own on you.

  3. Beautiful swatches! I can't believe I never thought of sponging on brush strokesy polishes!

  6. I like Front Page sponged better too. I know I've seen others sponge on glitter polish and this holiday season I think I'll do that too. It just looks so good.

  7. Front Page looks so pretty the way you did it! The other swatches I've seen of that online don't look so good.
