**Press Sample. Collection provided free of charge in exchange for swatches and review. All opinions are my own**

Hey lovelies!

Today I have swatches from a new indie polish brand that just launched on the 1st of this month. Empress by Mya Michele. Empress by Mya Michele's first collection is called The Philadelphia Soul Collection and consists of 9 polishes: Eagle Grungy Green, Temple Tangerine, Erie Pink, Passyunk Purple, Huntigdon Valley Green, Frost & Fifth, Center City Cream, Cherry Cheesesteak, and Avenue of the Blues. I will show you swatches first and tell you what I think at the end.

The Philadelphia Soul Collection

Eagle Grungy Green:
Teal/green jelly polish with subtle gold shimmer throughout. 3 coats plus top coat. This one would've been fine with only 2 coats.

Macro:

Temple Tangerine:
Pink/orange jelly polish with subtle gold shimmer throughout. 3 coats plus top coat. This one was a bit more sheer. There's still VNL but it's a jelly so that's fine.

Macro:

Erie Pink:
Fuchsia jelly polish with gold shimmer thought. The gold shimmer is more visible in this polish. This is 3 coats plus top coat.

Macro:

Passyunk Purple:
Purple holo micro glitter topper in a clear base with extra shimmer. 2 coats over a black base.

Macro:

Huntigdon Valley Green:
Sheer frosty light green polish. 3 coats on its own plus top coat on index and middle finger. 2 coats over a black base on ring and pinky plus top coat. Gorgeous over black!

Macro Huntingdon Valley Green on its own:

Macro Huntingdon Valley Green over black:

Frost & Fifth
Sheer frosty light lavender polish with scattered purple micro glitter through out. 3 coats on its own on index and middle and 2 coats over a black base on middle and pinky plus top coat. Love it over black!

Macro Frost & Fifth on its own:

Center City Cream:
Copper/gold frosty polish. 2 coats plus top coat.

Cherry Cheesesteak:
Rusty red colored polish. 3 coats plus topcoat.

Do you have any favorites in this collection?

Overall formulas on all were nice and dried quick.  I had issues with the jellies, the pigment seemed to be settling at the bottom, I mixed it with a toothpick and they were fine after. I let the owner know and she will be looking into that.
I love the colors in this collection. Some are unique to my collection like Avenue of the Blues, Huntingdon Valley Green and Frost & Fifth.
I had a great experience working with the owner Mya as I have had with all other indies I've worked with.

Learn more about the brand and the owner on their website in the About Us section.
